From the Reading Room series, this form exists in tandem with “A Tough Pill to Swallow” as a personal affirmation. Masquerading as a book, this form uses an etched mirror to overlay a simple affirmation - “I’m proud of you” - onto the face of the viewer. Its simplicity aims not to beat around the bush; rather, this piece aims to make its viewer understand the phrase in their own voice, directed toward themself.
